Our Founder

Mary Podogyrou

Mary  has extensive expertise in Marketing and Event management and a strong dedication to bridging the generational gap through innovative initiatives. Holding a B.Sc. in Sociology, a Master’s degree in Human Resources, and a Master Certificate in Marketing, Her professional journey has spanned multiple countries, including Greece, Bulgaria, and Belgium. This international experience enriches her perspective and enhances her ability to adapt strategies to diverse cultural and business contexts.

Throughout her career, Mary has worked in diverse industries, including private education, tourism, and digital communication platforms. Her passion lies in transforming concepts into immersive, successful events that foster engagement and community-building. She has organized and executed many conferences, seminars, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and trade shows, showcasing her ability to connect people and ideas seamlessly.

Mary is deeply committed to addressing the challenges of generational dynamics in today’s society. She actively contributes to fostering better understanding between Generation Z and older generations by organizing workshops, volunteering in youth-focused initiatives, and offering insights through interviews and published articles. .

After almost 20 years of professional experience, Mary founded Mellon Omega BV, fulfilling a lifelong dream to bring her vision to life: To merge technology, innovation, and science with the roots of society, ensuring these advancements are accessible and meaningful to communities.

Our "Advisory Council of Excellence"

Mellon Omega collaborates with exceptional scientists and professionals from diverse fields, who serve as advisors for our social initiative projects, focusing on Generation Z, human rights, sports, high-end technologies, health, education, employment and other impactful areas.

Together, we aim to bridge innovation and expertise for a better tomorrow,  to create meaningful change, foster understanding, and empower future generations.

Sotiris Karoubalis, Teacher

Sotirios D. Karoubalis has extensive experience in the fields of Informatics and Education. Beginning his career as a programmer in Greece, he soon transitioned to secondary education, where he has served as a permanent Informatics teacher since 1997. He held the position of Principal at Dory General Lyceum (2017-2023) and, since 2023, serves as Principal of Kyparissia General Lyceum. In parallel, he has delivered teaching services at Vocational Training Institutes and Adult Education Centers, while also acting as an instructor in professional development programs for educators. 

His specialized knowledge is reinforced by a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, complemented by numerous training seminars. His contributions include authoring articles, active participation in scientific associations, and an interest in activities such as hiking and music.

Sotiris collaborates as an external consultant with Mellon Omega BV, contributing to the implementation of social initiatives related to Generation Z and ensuring that Mellon Omega’s are aligned with its mission to harmonize future innovations with societal needs.

Katerina Ntaflou, PhD Social Policy

Katerina I. Daflou was born in Munich, West Germany. She holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Social Policy at Panteion University, Greece, specializing in “Local Government and Social Policy, with an emphasis on the use of new technologies for vulnerable groups.” She also holds an MSc-MBA postgraduate degree from the interdepartmental postgraduate program of the National Technical University of Athens and the Athens University of Economics and Business (Athens MBA) in Business Administration.

Her undergraduate studies were completed at Panteion University in the Department of Social Policy and Social Anthropology. She completed her secondary education at the Gymnasium-Lyceum of Konitsa, where her family originates. She has taught at Panteion University and the University of West Attica, and her articles have been published in both Greek and international journals.
